We came in to have our cat, who was sick, looked at. While they have good hours, and the diagnoses was correct, the care was not there. We were given meds, which were very bitter, and essentially told “good luck.” When we had no luck, even after calling in as a follow up for advice, little was given. We ended up going to a separate vet clinic, and the level of service and attention was so much better. It was night and day. So yes, we paid for 2 consults. The second clinic gave practicable advice and recommended various options. In the end, our concerns were resolved, whereas A Niu simply stopped at the dispensing stage. There is room for improvement. Look around.

Dr. Chiu and his entire veterinary team are truly exceptional. I brought in my 14-year-old senior dog with concerns about increased thirst and urination, and Dr. Chiu took my worries seriously right away. He promptly recommended bloodwork and imaging, which ultimately revealed several geriatric concerns — most significantly, a large mass on my dog’s spleen. The team acted quickly and compassionately, arranging surgery without delay. Throughout the entire process, they kept me informed, explained everything clearly, and treated my dog with such care and respect. During an incredibly stressful time, their professionalism and kindness meant more than I can express. What touched me most was the follow-up the next morning to check on how my dog was doing. That level of dedication and genuine concern truly sets this clinic apart. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Chiu and his amazing vet team for their prompt action, communication, and compassionate care. Thank you so much for everything you did for my girl.

We’ve tried quite a few vet clinics before, but never really felt fully at ease. Dr. A Niu has been the most transparent with every explanation and treatment, and never recommends anything unnecessary. He’s also very gentle with our dog, and surprisingly, our little one is much less grumpy here than anywhere else (which says a lot because he’s usually very reactive). We’ve had many vet visits across Vancouver, but Dr. A Niu has given the clearest and most reasonable explanations by far. Highly recommend!

Excellent service! I came for a last minute, late night emergency appointment for my dog. The staff were transparent & clear on pricing, procedure, and follow up. They quickly identified the issue, gave me the option for sedation and emphasized that, although the sedation was optional, it would be a better, less stressful experience for my dog, which I really appreciated. I was in and out in about an hour and for less money than I would expect for an emergency visit. Would absolutely recommend others to visit
