A friend recommended A1 when my storm drains started backing up. I was impressed by their quick response. Michael, their on-site lead, arrived with a van full of tools and used a scope and detector to locate a sump in the front yard that had been hidden under landscaping and a potted pine tree. The team checked in at each step, carefully cleared the area with minimal impact to the garden, and climbed into the sump to clear the blockage. Their can-do attitude and customer focus were top-notch. I can see why they were recommended - A1 will be the first company I call for future plumbing needs.

Unfortunate experience with A1 Plumbing and Drainage. We had an issue with the plumbing on our hot water system. We had 2 visits from their technicians that did not solve the problem and gave us no answers to a concrete solution. If I'm paying $175 an hour with the first hour costing $250, I'm paying for A1's expertise in solving our plumbing issues. I didn't get expertise. I didn't get the problem solved. I got a replacement PRV valve that didn't solve the issue, 2 technicians that couldn't determine the source of the problem, and a $1150 bill. I tried to explain to the operations manager my dissatisfaction with the service, but was essentially told to pound sand. He offered a decrease of .75 hour in the labour billing which was laughable. I've worked with them for 10 years on many properties but this will be the last time due to their indifference in making things right.

Great journeymen on staff. Quick, careful and professional. VEEEERY expensive. From start to finish, our shower leak took about 3 weeks to finish. Scheduling, supply, and administrative details seemed to take some time to complete. We located and exposed the leak ourselves to prepare for the plumber and save on costs. We were billed a total of about $1400 before any actual repair work was done. The total was about $2400 after taxes. The workmanship was very good and properly done in 4 hours Plumbers are in high demand here, so we have to pay a premium for their work and swallow a markup on parts. Will we call them again?...only if our charge card is all paid off. They did a much better job than others. They are up front with their pricing, which saved us from cardiac arrest when the charges were processed.

Bernard was great. Our upstairs neighbours clogged our condo pipes and it was back flowing into our sink with grease and food debris. I was not going to be able to sleep at night without it being resolved. He came late into the evening and stayed until after midnight to make sure the problem was resolved. Super impressed with the level of professionalism and quality of work. He took care to make sure he protected our flooring and cleaned everything up as if they were never here. Would not hesitate to recommedn A-1 to anyone in the Vancouver area. Thanks again Bernard.

A1 Drainage is the best drainage company I have dealt with, they offered a reasonable price. They have very professional equipment, Bernard is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and able to accurately pinpoint the problem right away. Trinh, the office staff, was patient enough to answer any questions I had. Highly recommend their service! Great job done Bernard! Thanks
