Always a wonderful experience here. Moved to Spruce in June and this is the only place I go to for a hair cut and beard trim. Very experienced staff and always do an excellent job on my beard and hair. 10/10 would reccomend, every barber and staff member here has been wonderful to deal with.

Saw Fred for a Beard Trim and Clean up. Did an amazing job and listened to what I was looking for with his own creative touch. Compared to the other shops in Spruce, Ridge Barbershop by far best place to go.

Had a horrible experience this evening getting my hair cut. I arrived at 6:15 PM, the exact time the owner/staff member agreed to when I booked my appointment. When I walked in, he was still cutting another customer’s hair, and the first thing he said to me was, “Don’t be picky because I don’t have time.” I smiled and reassured him not to worry. He was also chatting with another person who had been waiting before me. As soon as he finished with his current customer, he suddenly told me that he was not happy cutting hair for people from my place. I found this extremely rude but chose to stay quiet. Then he asked me to sit in the chair even though someone else was waiting before me. Repeatedly, he told me, “DON’T BE PICKY.” I showed him a picture of myself to make it easier, as I only wanted a simple haircut—nothing fancy. If I wanted anything complicated, I would have gone to a better place. After seeing the photo, he said he didn’t know how to cut my hair, especially the front part. He also added, “I can cut five Canadians’ hair just like that, but people from your place are very difficult. I’ve had experience.” For someone visiting his salon for the first time, the way he treated me was extremely disrespectful. I left the place without cutting my hair . Please avoid this place. This place was my go too place for me and my son and I recommended them. It is no longer...the bearded barber changed that. Going in there with my son today as we were both seated in chairs I made it clear what length me and my son were getting. After seated I heard bearded man ask my son what length. I repeated what I had said prior to being seated and was bold faced ignored. I asked my barber if my son's barber could not hear me or something. At that moment the bearded barber turned around and barked at me. "Of course I can hear you!!" With nothing but attitude. It escalated after that and even with a partial shave on my head that was enough for me. My son and I will not be returning after that. It kind of sucks because the lady I see there regularly always did do a nice job. Unless he is removed from that place there will be no more business from our family or would i recommend it like I was before. I guess I will be making trips to city back to my 20 year barber.
