I came in one year ago to get a belly piercing, and the man’s hands were very shaky and he couldn’t fully get the piercing through my skin so he had a jab a few times. He pierced it really high up, deep and it was crooked. I went and tried to get my belly re-pierced a year later but now I have a scar tissue preventing me to get a new one

I was looking at this leg piece I got a year ago, and I realized I haven't left a review for this shop. Franklin is a good guy, nice guy, however.... When I showed him what I wanted done and asked him if he could do portraits, for a rate of $170/hr I was expecting him to be able to do faces. The picture attached to the review I believe speaks for itself, as he was doing the eye on the right I figured it just looked off because I was looking at it upside down, I asked for him to touch it up twice to fix it, but I think it was just lost cause and the damage was done. Using other work I've gotten done at other studios in Toronto or Halifax, it is clear to me that as nice as the artist can be this tattoo exceeded his ability and the quality of this tattoo reflects that of an artist that someone would go to for $80/hr. I have 40+ hours of ink on me and looking down at my leg to see what Franklin did, always has me wishing I had gone to a more capable artist (which I will have to do eventually to try and fix this). His other work is fine, but I would choose a different artist for portraits or faces.

Kaitlyn did an amazing job on my tattoo; a fully custom design that I absolutely love. She was friendly and easy to chat with, open to making changes to the design leading up to the appointment which I was really grateful for. I especially love how long she took to get the placement of the stencil JUST right. It is clear that she takes a lot of pride in her work and is careful and thoughtful about every step of the process. The shop itself is clean and a lot larger than it looks from the outside. A very open and friendly environment, which isn't the case for all tattoo shops. I would definitely recommend Kaitlyn/this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo in the Comox Valley.

I have 6 tattoos from Trish and they constantly get compliments from strangers on how beautiful they are. Coming back for more in the future. Great locally made products for sale as well.

Bought our son his first tattoo for his 21st, explained to the artist what he wanted while we were purchasing the GC, even showed a rough sketch, she said no problem should be easy. He got his tattoo today... 3 boxes with the words peace love and positivity on his wrist - not one straight line and the word positivity is a mess. Plenty of excuses though. If you are looking for clean lines go somewhere else. (2nd photo is of the stencil provided by the artist)
