The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. You can truly tell the owners care deeply about the space they’ve created and about ensuring every client has a great experience from start to finish. Jenna-Wade is incredibly knowledgeable and truly takes the time to understand what you’re hoping for, while also offering her professional insight. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and the health of their hair, which makes such a difference. She explains what she’s doing and why, and makes sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire appointment. The attention to detail, the professionalism, and the overall care you receive is exceptional. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, everything feels intentional and high quality. Jenna-Wade has been my stylist for 6 years and the level of knowledge she has is incredible. I have trusted her with my hair and will continue to forever. Her creativity and her love for hair is always the focus. She has taken me from brown to blonde many times, she is a master at extensions. She continues her education regularly which shows. She is a master stylist at heart and I am so grateful to be her client. She did a balayage on me last week and I am obsessed. I came in looking for a change and she delivered magic. Couldn’t recommend her more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly recommend Curly Gurl—especially Bekah! I have naturally curly hair, but I used to straighten it all the time. When I went to Bekah for a haircut, she was the one who noticed my natural curls and asked why I wasn’t wearing my hair curly. That moment honestly changed everything for me. She helped me choose the right products and showed me an easy wash routine that actually works for my curls. It’s been about a month now, and I’m so happy with the results—people keep giving me compliments on my hair! Now she’s also helping me grow out my natural hair color again (dark brown), and I’m loving the whole process. She makes everything feel easy and low-effort, which I really appreciate. Because of her, I realized that I’m beautiful the way I was born—with curly hair and dark brown color. She’s truly the best. Highly, highly recommend! 💖

I had a cut with Britt, and let me tell you - this was the BEST salon experience I've had in years - maybe ever! Since moving to Calgary I've been to three different stylists looking for a heavily layered shag and hadn't gotten what I was looking for all three times. I did some research and found Britt at 1977 and I'm so glad I did because she NAILED it! Her attention to detail and technique was amazing and I could see the magic happen in real time - I could tell from the moment I sat down I was in good hands. I have fibally found my Calgary stylist!
